The First International Engineering Sciences Conference (1st IESC08)
of Aleppo University aims to present distinguished scientific research
works in various engineering fields.
The main objectives of the conference are to enable developing and
upgrading engineering activities, exchange of experience between
researchers and engineers from different countries, as well as provide
researches and post-graduate students with modern scientific knowledge.
The conference coincides with the golden jubilee celebration of Aleppo
University. The University has its origins in the Faculty of Engineering
which was established in Aleppo in 1946. Later, it has been expanded to
include other engineering specializations and divided into a number of
engineering faculties: Civil Engineering, and Architectural Engineering,
Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering,
Informatics Engineering, and Technical Engineering.
Generations of engineers have graduated from these faculties; they
contributed to the scientific engineering advance in Syria as well as in
the Arab World, Europe and America. |
